This V60 Cloth Filter is a great alternative to paper, giving a slightly thicker texture in the cup whilst retaining lots of complexity and acidity. As a filter method cloth filters sit somewhere between metal and paper, allowing fats and oils to pass through but avoiding the silt that can be found in metal filtration. If you're a fan full bodied coffees these are great option but likewise will capture a lot brightness and sweetness from something like a washed Ethiopian.
Another benefit of brewing with Cloth Filter is that they can be used over and over again. This means you can cut down on the cost of your brewing, without the need of paper filters and you can avoid that panic moment when they have all run out! It also cuts down on unnecessary production and transport of paper filters.
After brewing, dispose of the coffee grounds and rinse clean with hot water. Clean in boiling water once a month or use an espresso group head cleaner if you notice more of a build up. To store you can either leave it to dry, and store it dry, store it in water in the fridge or put it in a container while wet and store it in the freezer.
