Dragonwell Lung Ching, grown on the western shore of Lake Xihu near Longjing since the Tang dynasty, is linked to the legend of the rain-bringing dragon. Its gentle sweet chestnut aroma and fruity taste is legendary among green-tea fanatics. In the words of an anonymous Ancient Chinese poet: “The Leaf of a good Lung Ching should resemble the wizened leather on the boots of a Tartar horseman.” That’s what I tell our customers in the shop anyway. Surprisingly it works every time!
