The Wilfa Brewer - With the highest annual cups per capita of around 8-12kg (against the UKs 2.8kg), Scandinavian countries, which take the top 6 spots, often opt for filter brewing as their method of choice so when it comes to brewers you know you’re in good hands with Danish company Wilfa. Much like the Wilfa Svart grinder this brewer is another example of the precision engineering Wilfa apply to their coffee equipment. With a modern, simple Danish design it’s also a great looking piece of kit to have about the kitchen or office brew station. The two main features that make this a great brewer is its temperature consistency and manual drip stop.
Temperature remains between 92-96 degrees throughout the brew cycle helping an even extraction and preventing burning towards the coffee towards the end of the cycle.
An adjustable drip stop means that you can vary the speed at which water travels through the coffee. This means that you can chose a fast flow for larger batches (up to 1L) as well a slow flow to get the best out of small batches too.
Once the brew cycle is done a hot plate keeps the coffee warm for 40 minutes then turns off automatically. It even lets you know when it needs cleaning. After 60 button presses the Wilfa button flashed to indicate that it time for a descale. Drip Stopper. 1550W
