This Espresso Duo makes the ideal gift for the home espresso enthusiast or the anyone who enjoys a heftier brew. Featuring our two espresso roast coffees, this pack showcases the range of styles and flavours that can be achieved with espresso. Expect a full, velvety body with notes of toasted nut and dark chocolate from Archetype and more juicy, floral notes of redcurrant and honey from Prototype.
Each of these coffees currently highlights characteristics from a single origin. Brazil Palmital is our Archetpye Espresso, comes froma single farm in Serra So Pau S’Alho, Mina Gerais. Owner Carlos Augusto R. de Melo is dedicated to farming in a way that has a positive social and environmental impact. The Farm is UTZ organic certified and with currently, 36 families living on the farm, employees and their families are provided with free transportation to primary and secondary schools and medical care in Cabo Verde.
Prototype Espresso comes from the Hambella Washing station in Yirgacheffe and showcases some of the elegant complexity we love in coffees from this region. Heirloom varietals grow wild in this at high altitudes of up to 1,900 - 2,000 masl. After careful wet processing the result is a coffee with a fragrant aroma, followed by a syrupy mouthfeel and soft fruit notes.
